Vote 2008

Frankly, as with most Presidential elections, I'd rather :
gouge my eyes repeatedly with a dull butter knife
or comb my hair with a hacksaw
or hug a cat

or watch grass grow
or eat live roaches
or watch Rock of Love

or weed a strawberry patch (inside joke for my siblings)
or clean up my kids' vomit
or (fill in the blank!) ______________________... than vote for either candidate.

If you research both candidates YOURSELF instead of listening to the media and others, you'll see that both candidates have questionable "things" to consider.

Let's face it - it sadly comes down to the lesser of evils.

I won't reveal my choice for President here, nor do I want to debate anyone, but I AM posting this nugget made by a friend of mine. Go ahead and assume what you like. :)

Just KNOW who/what you are voting for! Be informed about a candidate's past voting record.
Take the time to do the research so you can understand what their plans entail. Then vote!

If you live in South County, look here for elections info.

And now for a message, not necessarily from our sponsors:

I agree Amanda....but as with almost everything in life...it's about CHOICES. Ultimately, every choice has a pro/con. Very little in life comes with 100% satisfaction ALL the time...except GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. Other than that, you make the BEST choice you can! And that definitely comes with educating yourself. God bless you, your family and our entire country!

Um, I hug my cats.

Also, I'm comfortable with my decision on the election. I focus on the ACTUAL powers the office of the president has, and ignore most of the jabber because it is about things that the President at best has influence in, but no direct power.

Then I look at what I think will be their guiding principles because today's issue is tomorrow "Good ol' days" and new issues will come up. Ideally, I'd like to see some glimpse of their decision making process.

With the rapidly changing issues in this election, I think I've seen that.
