The Governor's Garden

While in Jeff City we got lots of pics of the capitol
and surrounding sites. The architecture of the buildings is beautiful, the fountains and statues are spectacular, and the war memorials had a "presence" you can only experience by being there. The museums are full of info about Missouri's rich history and natural resources.

Hopefully our pics will make their way to Flickr soon, but in the meantime, here are 2 shots of the Governor's Garden. I thought the garden also had a "presence" about it. It's a splendid garden fit for strolling and taking in the beauty of God's handiwork.

If you live in MO and have never visited our capitol, it's an excellent and worthwhile 2 hour road trip.

That looks so much like my garden, I had to do a double-take. Except for the green hills, beautiful stone structures and lack of apparent weeds, there are many similarities!
