SHARE Project Fair 2009

The S.H.A.R.E. Project Fair was this past April 14th. Each participant created a project on a subject of personal choice and displayed it for fellow homeschoolers, parents, grandparents, and visitors on Project Fair Night.

Caleb spent several weeks researching eagles and presented a project called "Eagles Everywhere". He included photos of our past visit to the Wild Bird Sanctuary in Lone Elk Park.

Lucas chose to study the state of Oklahoma. In the process of researching OK he emailed the OK dept of tourism and received several impressive pieces of travel info. The history of OK is interesting and the travel adventures seem endless.
It was nice to put away some of the other subjects for a few weeks and really dig into these topics. Homeschooling allows us to steer off the planned course of instruction where we can study the present subject more in depth if we like or we can pursue something else that comes up in the process. Handling our kids' education in this way makes it more flexible and more enjoyable for everyone.

PS....
Back in 2005, Caleb did a project about his Venus Flytrap. It's cute to look back....
