Raisin' Kids

This post is a simple "thanks" to God for the gift of our children. Anyone responsible for the building and nurturing of little souls probably understands the stresses, trials, and pure joys of raising kids. We offer a prayer today:

Dear Lord,

THANKS! ...for the children in our lives.....for the messes, the stresses, and the deep belly laughs they can ignite.

Thanks for the seemingly constant NOISE,...the spills and thrills of playing and roughhousing, and the cool, "abstract" artworks they create when they are so young.

Thanks for the illnesses we've come through, the sleepless nights that made us appreciate the restful nights, and the good health we have.

Thanks for the ways kids "remind" us that we are doing something we've told them they should not do.

Thanks for the unique and important gifts and talents you have given our children.

Thanks for the gift of loving, supportive grandparents to help us raise our kids.

Thanks...even for the rebellion, disobedience, and bad attitudes, which You use to help us gain and apply Your wisdom in parenting.

Thanks, Lord, for just another day to live, laugh, and share love with them.

In Jesus Name we pray.........AMEN!
